Flash Technology is the leader in supplying aviation obstruction lighting to the rapidly growing wind energy market. Our introduction of the FTB 360i, an FAA L864 LED red only medium intensity beacon, saves time and energy expense for the wind farm owners. The use of LEDs cuts energy usage by 80% compared to strobe lights and 96% when compared to incandescent. Maintenance cost is lowered due to status indicators, state-of-the-art surge suppression, and an advanced heat sink design that requires no moving parts.

Currently, we have supplied over 1000 lighting systems on over 45 wind farms, representing over 6000MW in the United States.

Our newest product, the FTB 360i, was developed in response to customer interviews, which identified several unmet marketplace needs for wind turbine lighting products. These interviews revealed a need for a tightly focused light beam, status indicators to convey real time operating information, and an efficient, compact design for easy installation and longer life. The FTB 360i addresses each of these needs, and offers exceptional operating performance compared to similar products currently on the market.

Patented Optics Using patented optics, the FTB 360i generates a true three degree beam of light, producing less ground scatter than any other L-864, making this the most community friendly obstruction light on the market. The beam is produced using the highest quality LED's available, providing superior optics, color, and longevity.

Status Indicator The first on the market - our status indicators give easy-to-read diagnostics, simplifies punch downs, and clearly confirms operating conditions at time of installation. Furthermore, no special diagnostic tools are required.

No Moving Parts When moving parts, even fans, are introduced to any system, heat builds up and breakdowns are more prevalent. This is why we specially constructed the FTB 360i with no moving parts, giving it a longer lifecycle, and requiring less maintenance than other systems on the market. Our specialized heat sync was built so that it does not require a fan for cooling.

Compact Design Weighing only 43 lbs (including the 75ft of cable) and measuring 15" across and 12.6" tall, its compact design makes this beacon easy to handle, fast to install or replace, and fits effortlessly into a technician's equipment bag for carrying. The system also, seamlessly interfaces with existing installations and easily replaces older technology using the existing mounting brackets.
