FRANKLIN, TN – December 18, 2008 – Flash Technology, an SPX Division, announces a formal strategic alliance with Dialight plc, a world leader in applied LED technology. The alliance is intended to bring superior LED technology and unique product offerings to the obstruction lighting market.

“This agreement not only benefits Flash Technology and Dialight, but our customers as well by allowing us to take advanced lighting technology to the market faster,” states Mark Joss, Vice President and General Manager of Flash Technology. 

Flash Technology and Dialight have worked together on numerous projects since 2005. Dialight was chosen as a strategic partner because of their commitment to excellence in light manufacturing, LED selection, global distribution and development of green technology.

Together the companies have gained placement of LED products in the Wind, Telecommunications, and Utilities markets. In 2008, Flash Technology & Dialight collaborated to introduce the first integrated LED red beacon solely for the Wind turbine industry. It was met with great success, growing sales by 33% over 2007.
