Portable Obstruction and Taxiway Lights Installed During Miami International Runway Expansion
Hypower Inc. ordered 205 portable obstruction and taxiway lights. The lights will be installed at the Miami International Airport as a temporary solution while the airport undergoes the Miami International Airport Rehabilitation Project.
Hypower Inc., a division of Applied Industrial Technologies, is currently working on Miami Internationalās huge expansion project. Temporary obstruction and taxiway lights will be used by the company as it expands existing runways and rewires major traffic areas at the airport.
The A601 solar-powered LED lights are an ideal solution for temporary lighting during construction or other situations when access to reliable grid power is difficult. Before solar lights were available, airports typically had to string cables across active runways and taxiways between temporary lighting and then power the network using costly generators. As a comparison, our portable solar lights install in minutes and operates completely autonomously, coming on automatically at dusk and going off at dawn. Each light is waterproof, shockproof and designed to operate with no scheduled maintenance for up to 5 years.
Hundreds of commercial and general aviation airports worldwide are now using our solar LED airfield lights for temporary and/or permanent applications. In addition to their proven reliability and durability, Flash’s airfield lights offer significant savings over traditional hard-wired systems due to their reduced installation, maintenance and energy requirement costs.
