Purpose:
Flash Technology is issuing this technical bulletin to notify customers, sales, technical support and service teams that the LTE Ethernet modems we offered have been discontinued by the manufacturer with a drop-in replacement.

SIM Card Type:
The new modem will use a 3FF SIM card instead of a 2FF as the previous models.
CELL Connector Location:
The new modem will have the CELL antenna connector on the left instead of the right as with the previous models.

New firmware will be required to support the new Ethernet modem. New systems and all modem kits will ship with the latest firmware. Download firmware.

Recommendations:
Use 3FF SIM cards only, ideally rated at -40 Celsius. Do not use Consumer grade Triple Punch (2FF/3FF/4FF) SIMs as our tests show that they fail at -20 Celsius. Always have the latest, approved firmware in your possession before starting a modem install/replacement.
