Flash Earns ISO 9001:2015 Certification
Providing clients with obstruction lighting products and services that meet or exceed quality requirements and expectations has always underlined Flash Technologyās mission. Every day we commit ourselves to continuous improvement throughout the company.
In support of this effort, we first received ISO 9001:2008 certification in April 2014. Over the past several months, we updated our processes to reach the new ISO 9001:2015 standards. This month, we received our reaccreditation.
ISO sets a modern quality standard for 95 participating countries. The program encourages participants to document procedures and implement specific quality controls and disciplines. The result is a consistently high level of quality in the research, development, production and implementation of manufactured products.
IMPLEMENTING ISO 9001 AT FLASH
Flashās Quality Systems Manual governs how ISO 9001 quality management standards are executed, from new product development through delivery and use. It also specifies how we deliver superior quality control in five key areas.
- Leadership
Tasked with continuously implementing, maintaining and improving the quality management system, the leadership team embodies a customer focus. This group assigns quality responsibilities, addresses risks and opportunities and executes objectives necessary to achieve superior quality.
- Engineering
Engineering works to implement quality within all new tower lighting product releases. This includes designing and developing products that meet customer standards as well as standards identified by the FCC. Quality standards that begin with engineering alleviate faulty products and will ensure client receive the best value.
- Sales and Product Management
Through product quotes, orders, contracts and training, the sales and product management teams ensure quality customer relationships.
- Service
Service teams also enhance client relationships by providing support via phone, email and in the field. In addition, our 24-hour tower light monitoring services through the National Operations Center (NOC) integrate quality compliance in every aspect of the customer experience.
- Operations
Adhering to the quality external processes define in the Supplier Quality Manual, operations is responsible for the operational planning and control, as well as the design and development of FAA lighting products and services.
Implementing lean processes and delivering quality standards in our manufacturing and client support systems allows us to continually achieve our true mission and better serve clients.
